What we collect, why, who helps us run Saturday’s Here, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Saturday’s Here is an independent college football fan project, born in Norman, Oklahoma. We aren’t affiliated with any school, conference or the NCAA. When this page says “we”, it means Saturday’s Here. You can reach us at hello@saturdayshere.com.
Using it without an account
You can look around, play the Arcade, save a conference card on this device, RSVP to a gathering, rate a tailgate, send feedback and report something without signing up. Posting, account picks, reactions, account saves and anything that counts toward a board take a free account. To keep the rest working, your browser holds a random identifier (a cookie called
sh_session) so you can manage what you shared and so we can stop abuse. It isn’t your name and it isn’t shared.Guest Pick’em picks, your team, the teams you follow, recent places and unsent drafts stay on your device. If you later sign in, the memories this browser shared and your guest picks move to your account.
Conference-challenge drafts and device-saved cards stay in this browser for eight days from your last visit to the card, unless you clear browser data or sign out sooner. They do not earn leaderboard points or establish an official entry; account picks must be saved before each game’s kickoff. A necessary cookie for each conference (
sh_conference_entry_sec,sh_conference_entry_big-tenorsh_conference_entry_big-12) remembers your chosen school and the first valid invitation for up to seven days, including while you sign in. It makes the challenge and recruiter credit work; it is separate from optional product measurement. Draft picks do not move between browsers automatically. If you choose the browser-transfer option, the copied link contains your school and draft selections in its fragment (the part after #), along with the invitation/source tags. Anyone with that link can read those selections. The draft contains no password or account token, and restoring it requires review before any picks are submitted. If you request an account email from a conference card, its return address can also carry these selections through our sign-in and email services so you can review them in the browser that opens your email.Your account
Some things need an account: Game Chat, Pick’em leaderboards, hosting a tailgate or watch party, parking, tickets, contests, crews and role requests. You can sign in with email and a password, a one-time email link, or Google. We store your email, how you signed in, the handle and display name you choose, your invite code, how you first found Saturday’s Here (a general source such as “Instagram”, a friend’s invite or a business’s link, and the first page you opened), and account-safety records (warnings, mutes, suspensions). If you use Google, we receive the name and email Google shares; you can change the name we show.
Staff who run Saturday’s Here sign in with an authenticator app as a second step.
Your Saturday Seer readings
Fourth & Foretold starts private. When you request a personal reading, your question, recent private readings and selected public football facts are sent to our AI reading providers. OpenAI writes the reading, with Google as a fallback; when enabled, TypeSafe AI’s Jev through Vercel helps interpret context, repetition and tone. Please leave sensitive personal details out of your question. An authored fortune is written in advance and does not send a question to an AI provider.
We keep the question, completed card and a private feature-specific browser/account key so retries cannot generate twice and you can reopen the same reading. Unsaved server copies expire after 30 days. Your browser keeps up to 30 device cards until you remove them or clear browser data; an account Keep saves a lasting private copy. You can delete a server card from its keepsake controls. Deleting an account removes its saved Seer cards.
A public link requires signing in and separately confirming a preview of the full question and answer. Anyone with that link can read and download the card. You can remove the link or delete the saved card; downloaded images, social previews and other people’s copies cannot be recalled. Nothing is posted automatically to your social accounts. Our cost ledger records the task, model, cost and opaque reading ID, never the question or answer.
Location
We never track where you go. Your phone’s location is used only when you ask for it, and each time your phone asks you first:
- Adding a memory: to suggest the town you’re in. The coordinates go to OpenStreetMap’s lookup service to find the town name; we save the town, not the coordinates.
- Verifying a game check-in: your position is compared with the stadium once; we keep only that you were verified and when.
- Parking: a spot’s location, and a host’s and driver’s positions at arrival, are kept so a reservation can be confirmed and a dispute settled.
Separately, our hosting provider tells us your approximate country and state from your connection. We use it to suggest nearby teams on your first visit (we don’t save it) and to label feedback with a region.
Why we use it
- To show what you shared where you shared it: game pages, team pages, chats, share cards and game recaps.
- To run the features you use: picks and leaderboards, gatherings, parking, prizes and notices.
- To keep it safe: screening posts, handling reports, stopping spam and abuse.
- To make it better: fixing problems you report and understanding, in aggregate, what people use.
Keeping it safe
Every public post and photo is checked automatically before it’s shown. A moderation service reads the words and looks at the photos; for borderline cases an AI model gives a second opinion, and anything still unclear stays hidden (visible only to you) until it’s resolved. Three reports from different people hide a message or post. The rules are on the community rules page.
Notices, email and push
Notices appear in Updates. If you turn them on, we also send push notifications through your browser’s push service (we store the address your browser gives us for that). Email: sign-in links, invitations you or others send, a daily digest if you opt in, and messages about an organization you run. You can turn each off.
Product measurement
On saturdayshere.com we record a few actions (a page viewed, a memory started or shared, a share, or a conference card started or finished) with a scrambled browser identifier and a general source such as “Instagram”. It never includes your words, photos, email or location. These records are deleted after about 34 days. On your first visit we also note, in a cookie called
sh_first, the same kind of general source and the page you arrived on; if you create an account it’s kept with it, and otherwise it expires after six months. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track, and you can turn it off here:Product measurement is allowed unless your browser sends a privacy signal.
We don’t use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we don’t show ads.
Who helps us run it
We use a small set of services. Each gets only what it needs:
Service What it does What it receives Supabase Database, sign-in and photo storage Your account and what you share Vercel Hosting Web requests and your approximate region Resend Sending email The recipient’s address and the message OpenAI Screening posts and photos; second opinions; Seer personal readings The words and photos being checked; Seer question, recent readings and public facts Anthropic and Google Gemini Sorting feedback and reports for us; choosing photos for fan stories you gave permission to feature Feedback and report text; permitted photos TypeSafe AI through Vercel Interpreting Seer question context, repetition and tone when enabled Your Seer question and recent private readings Google “Continue with Google” sign-in Only if you choose it Stripe Card payments for parking and tickets Your email and what you’re buying OpenStreetMap Town names, place search and maps Coordinates you choose to use; search words YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, SoundCloud Previews of links you add; video players The link; a player loads from them when you press play We use the AI services under their business API terms and don’t opt in to any program that lets them train on your content. Schedules, scores and weather come from data providers and involve no personal information.
What’s public
Public memories, Game Chat messages and takes, your handle, the credit you choose on a memory, a host’s public meeting spot, and leaderboard names are visible to anyone. Private memories, private addresses, emails, check-in details and your settings are not. Your sign-in name and email are never published automatically. We feature a fan’s story on our own social accounts only when that fan says yes for that memory, and you can withdraw that any time.
What we never do
- Sell your personal information or your content.
- Give your content to a sponsor or advertiser without asking you again, specifically.
- Show ads based on you, or share your data with data brokers.
How long we keep things
- Your memories and account: until you delete them.
- Updates in your inbox: trimmed 60 days after you read them, 180 days at most.
- Product measurement: about 34 days. Error logs: 30 days.
- Photos started but never shared: removed within a day.
- Business contact details we gather for invitations: removed after 180 days, or at once if the business asks.
Your choices, and deleting your data
Delete any memory yourself from Your Saturdays, and download your memories and photos from your account. “Delete my data” removes your memories and photos, saved items, reactions and your account.
Some records are part of other people’s Saturdays, so they stay without your name or account attached: messages you wrote in a chat, RSVPs and check-ins, crews you joined, gatherings, orders, parking records and contest entries. If you want any of those removed too, email us and we’ll handle it. Copies someone else saved or shared outside Saturday’s Here may remain.
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it: email hello@saturdayshere.com. We answer within 30 days.
Children
Saturday’s Here isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, tell us and we’ll delete it. Please don’t post photos of other people’s children without their parent’s okay.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people who run Saturday’s Here, and staff sign in with two steps. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects you, we’ll tell you.
Changes
When we change this page we update the date at the top. If a change affects how your information is used, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
